Products I Loved During Baby’s First Year

Now that Amelia is one, I’ve taken a look back to see the items that I loved from her first year of life. And, well, there are a few that really stand out.

It’s so easy to be bombarded with lists of must-haves when you’re a new or expecting mama, so I’ve compiled a short list of my faves.

Fisher-Price Learn with Me Walker

We got this for Ez when he was a baby, and kept it around for future kids. Amelia loves this thing; before she tried walking with it, she loved sitting and playing with the lights and buttons on the zebra. Now, she’s so close to walking, and zooms around the house with it!

Baby Einstein Magic Touch Piano

This thing is so cute! Amelia loves it. Perfect for 8+ month babies – all they have to do is touch the keys.

Tommee Tippee Easi-Roll Up Bib

These are definitely THE best bibs for little ones learning to eat table food. Before I got these bibs for Amelia, I’d pick her up from her high chair and an avalanche of crumbs would fall out (that was the dogs’ fave part). Not anymore! Sorry, pups.

Burt’s Bee’s Organic Sheets

So soft. Need I say more?

SwaddleMe Swaddles

I am not a talented swaddler, try as I might. Both of my babies loved being swaddled for the first few months of life, and these were so helpful in that time. The first time we used one, was at 5 a.m. the morning after Ezra’s first night home. My husband and I had been awake pretty much all night (not surprising, of course) and I could not keep Ez swaddled. My husband sleepily went to Walmart in the middle of the night to buy a two-pack, we washed it on a speed wash in our washing machine, swaddled him up, and we had two blissful hours of sleep that morning.

Sit N Stand

As a second time mom, I wanted to get a double stroller that could last a few years. Ezra turned three-years-old soon after Amelia was born, so I chose the Baby Trend Sit N Stand stroller. We love it! It’s perfect for long day trips where Ez may want to take a break.

HaloVa Diaper Bag

I got this somewhat last minute as a bag to use for quick errands, but y’all this has become our everyday bag. It’s got pockets for days and is so spacious. We can fit everything we need for both kiddos, and that’s definitely a win!

What are your baby must-haves?

I love those bibs too! They were so much easier to wipe down instead of throwing in the washing machine every time.

  2. Deb B. says:

So funny – I have almost every single one of these items and I completely agree with this list! The only thing I don’t have is the stroller with the standing feature and I definitely wish I had that!

  3. Ashley says:

My baby is only 7 months so we are going to purchase that magic touch piano! It looks so cool and we have been wanting to research new toys to get her – thanks for doing the hard part for us!
